I was excited to take on the project management and design of the print calendar for this year’s school calendar. Bringing the design in house helped our team save money as well as assure accuracy and attention to branding and style were at the forefront. This publication is printed annually and delivered to every family and staff member in the SPS community.

In Fall 2015, I began work on the district and school website design refresh for Seattle Public Schools as the project manager.
The current design for the district’s home page.
The first step, plotting the project management plan, writing the RFP, selecting the vendor and moving the contract through the business and legal offices took about 6 months.
From May through the end of June, I have lead the user requirement gathering stage, which involved user and web editor interviews, focus groups and an online survey.
The 2015 Children’s Campaign Fund fundraising invites tapped in to similar colors and themes for both of the organization’s major fundraisers. These designs were adapted for their website and social media platforms for unity.
Collaborating with the playwright, I design a new business card. The design echoed themes used on his website, Thomaspierceplaywright.com.
